Betty Jo Simmons/Kappa Delta Pi Scholarship

The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage outstanding academic performance and excellence in teaching. Dr. Betty Jo Simmons ’60 served as counselor for Kappa Delta Pi for many years during her long and distinguished career in the College of Education and Human Services at Longwood University.

Student must be seeking a teaching degree in elementary or secondary education.
Student must have superior academic achievement.
Student must be an active and highly participatory member of Kappa Delta Pi.
Student must be an active member on campus.
Student must be a rising Senior.
