Camilla C. and Helen B. Tinnell Scholarship in English

Established by Dr. Wayne Tinnell in honor of his wife and mother. His wife, Mrs. Camilla Cross Tinnell has always inspired him to be a better teacher and his mother, Mrs. Helen Brumfield Tinnell made great sacrifices on his behalf.

Student must be a full-time rising Junior and Senior.
Student must be an English major desiring to teach with a 3.0 GPA and 3.2 GPA in major English classes.
Scholarship is renewable with the recipients continue to maintain a 3.0 GPA and if recommended by the Scholarship Committee of the Department of English, Philosophy, and Modern Languages.
No more than two scholarship are to be awarded each year. One to a rising Junior and one to a rising senior, split half and half.
